Canon is a global leader in imaging and optical products, such as cameras, printers, and business solutions. For over a decade, Vintedge has had the privilege of partnering with Canon Singapore, navigating the ever-evolving digital landscape together.

With smartphones growing more and more advanced, and film and digital cameras surging in popularity, consumers may get overwhelmed with choice in the camera market. Additionally, the barrier to entry for smartphones, film cameras, and digital cameras are significantly lower due to factors like ease of use, portability, and price.

SOLUTION

Experiential Advocacy: Taking Tech to the Streets

We as consumers don’t often get the chance to explore, experiment, and “play” with these cameras before making a purchase decision. They might not even be aware of the various features and USPs of a Canon camera. So to reignite the excitement and increase awareness of Canon’s camera range, the team wanted to create more hands-on opportunities for the public, while showcasing their experience and ease of handling the camera.

We hit the streets to invite the public to try exploring their surroundings while taking pictures with the borrowed camera (the EOS R50 V was used for this video). Participants got the opportunity to try their hand with the R50 V, and we captured their best moments (and pictures) in a dynamic montage.

RESULTS

Bench-Breaking Engagement & High-Intent Interest

The video achieved a hook rate of 59.87% and a hold rate of 68.3%, significantly higher than Meta’s benchmark for hook rate (20%-30%) and hold rate (40%-50%). It would also rank amongst the top performing posts for Canon’s 2025 SM.
