From Static Lessons to Immersive Journeys
In 2023, Mandai Wildlife Group tasked Vintedge with a mission: bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world conservation. They needed a pilot platform that could empower educators to move beyond static PDFs and transform environmental science into a captivating, measurable adventure for students.
THE SOLUTION
The Ranger Buddies Teacher Resource Centre
We developed an intuitive, high-energy digital ecosystem designed to serve two distinct audiences:
- For Educators: A seamless portal featuring customizable lesson plans and instant-access multimedia resources—from virtual shows to activity guides on rainforest ecosystems.
- For Students: A “Virtual Safari” experience that brings the Zoo, Bird Paradise, and River Wonders directly into the classroom through user-centered storytelling.
THE INNOVATION
Digital Learning Trails
The crown jewel of the project was the implementation of Digital Learning Trails. We built a gamified, location-based platform integrated directly into Mandai’s physical parks. Students navigate the real-world environment, solving quizzes and completing team-based challenges that turn a school trip into an interactive quest.
THE IMPACT
The pilot launched in late 2023 at Bird Paradise with students from 2 primary schools. The results spoke for themselves:
